At the Video Junkyard, we dig up these forgotten films and franchises and see if they still hold up in the digital age. Remember this one where Quaid spends most of the movie drinking and sawing tiny holes in Short's internal organs. That's not a great synopsis but neither was the one on the back of the DVD box, so there.

Betuel and starring John Stockwell, Fisher Stevens, and Dennis Hopper. When high school senior and gearhead Michael Harlan needs a science project to graduate, he sneaks into a junkyard at a military base (you know, like ya do...) and discovers an extraterrestrial engine that can manipulate time (and space). When the device starts opening portals around town, Michael and his friends must race against time (and space) to stop the onslaught of creatures out of time (and space)...you get the idea.
