VJP EP 232 Lord of War

On this episode of the Video Junkyard Podcast, Erik and Joe take a look at the 2005 film "Lord of War" staring Nicolas Cage, Jared Leto, Bridget Moynahan, Ian Holm, and Ethan Hawke. Written and directed by Andrew Niccol, "Lord of War" is a semi-true story of one of the world's most infamous arms dealers in the 1980s through early 2000s. While Cage's character of Yuri Olav is fictional, the character - and many characters in the film - are based on real individuals (Olav is based on real-life "Merchant of Death" Viktor Bout). An interesting, and sadly still topical film and a unique role for Cage in this particular time in his career, but does Lord of War still hold up in 2023?
