VJP 240 Solarbabies

On this week's episode of the Video Junkyard Podcast, we take a look at the 1986 science fiction film "Solarbabies". Directed by Alan Johnson and (shocklingly) co-produced by Mel Brooks, "Solarbabies" stars Richard Jordan, Jami Gertz, Jason Patric, Lukas Haas, and Charles Durning and tells a tale of a post-aocalyptic future ruled by the military where a group of renegade teenage orphans find a legendary orb (named Bohdai) that can supposedly bring the rain back to dried up Earth. When it was first released, Solarbabies was received poorly by critics due to its confusing plot and derivative sci-fi elements. So how does it hold up in 2023?
