To round out your Halloween season, we bring you our take on "The Frighteners" - Peter Jackson's 1996 horror/thriller/comedy. Featuring a star-studded cast of Michael J. Fox, Trini Alvarado, Peter Dobson, John Astin, Dee Wallace Stone, Jeffrey Combs, R. Lee Ermey and Jake Busey, The Frighteners tells of psychic/local con artist Frank Bannister (Fox) who can see and speak with the dead and uses his abilities to set up hoax hauntings and exorcisms. But when a series of mysterious murders occur, Bannister must stop the responsible evil entity before its too late. The film that made Peter Jackson more of a household name had quite a lot of buzz behind it when it premiered in 1996, but how does it hold up in 2022?
